New Babies!

I was looking forward to ripping down the aviary at our new house, but decided to join WIRES (Wildlife Information Rescue and Education Service) instead. Expecting to have to do lots of courses and only then possibly have the chance of rescuing/housing a small animal, after my first meeting last night I was handed a box with 2 orphaned possums. What a nice surprise it was for Andrew! Although he's a little concerned that he'll have to wait even longer for his breakfast now, what with the cockatoos etc.! Anyway, the 2 little girls seem comfortable in their new home and there were obvious signs of a playful night this morning. It seems my aviary will be in much demand...
